Things To Do Daily To Keep Your House Tidy

I do not do well with mess. Clutter and I do not get along. As I have gotten older and especially after I had kids I learned that messes and clutter are massive anxiety triggers for me. I have found some things to do daily to keep your house tidy that have TRULY saved my sanity!

Clean as you go in the kitchen: My husband is probably so sick of me saying this. I love to bake and baking can get messy, I always clean as I go. Before I even put anything in the oven I put all the ingredients away, wipe down the counters etc. Same when I am making something for the kids even as simple as their lunches for the next day. I put everything away. It really makes the kitchen less intense if you just clean as you go.

Do a 15 minute speed clean twice a day: As a stay at home mom/homeschool mom doing this is a must. Sometimes this is done more than twice a day. This usually means folding blankets, checking the playroom for toys not in the right spot, wiping down counters, putting things away, etc.

Have “reset” times: This goes with the above but just plan 1-2 reset times a day. This can be as easy as 5 minutes!

April 2025 Goals

Happy April everyone! March was a good month for us, with my oldest having a birthday and then spring break March was a fun and relaxing month, with lots of movie watching and just spending quality time together as a family.

 
Here's a recap of my March 2025 goals and what I accomplished last month:
 
March 2025 Goals
 
1. Read two books book (finish reading (If There Be Thorns and Seeds of Yesterday).

2. Drink 100oz of water daily.

3. Start using my habit tracker in my bullet journal every day.

4. Eat more fruits and veggies (I have been lagging on this and I really need to fix it).

5. Walk 6 days a week and strength train 3x per week.

6. Have at least two at home date nights with the Husband. 

7. Organize the girls' bedrooms (purge old toys and outgrown clothes).
 
8. Complete one bible study this month. 

9. Add more resources to my Teachers Pay Teachers store (have a total of 120 products by the end of the month).

Here are the goals that I have set for myself this month (some are the same as last because I want to develop them into habits):
 
1. Read two books

2. Drink 120oz of water daily.

3. Complete one bible study this month.

4. Eat more fruits and veggies

5. Walk 6 days a week and strength train 3x per week.

6. Have at least two at home date nights with the Husband. 

7. Add more resources to my TPT store.
